Herniated disc
I felt my back go last week 2/3 when I picked up my friends child. Tuesday I ended up in the hospital because I was unable to get out of bed the pain was so bad. They diagnosed me with a herniated disc L5 region. They told me to take it slow and I started feeling a bit better by 2/11. I went back to work, still felt OK but just sore after the day of standing on my feet. Then last night I have shooting pain down my leg and can't get out of bed again. Is this normal? What should I do?

This is not normal. Apply( not rub or massage )cold butter to the area and give cold (not chilled)water pad continuously. feel better in 3hrs. If not need internally to reduce the pressure created by herniation to the joints. Need details of your food and work pattern to advice better.
