Hepatitis C and HIV
On 8 june 2017 I visited Apollo Hospital Ahemdabad for Canada -Student Medical checkup. Before blood collection lady Doctor dropped the syring and needle on the floor. She took them and tested me with the same. I'm worried if needle cap got removed due to Collision with the floor and needle might have touched the floor as well. There was plenty of syringe and needle in a box I have attached an image of the same. In my case needle cap was black and it was already attached to syringe... I'm paranoid thinking about that might be exposure to floor needle might have any bacteria or virus of Hepatitis or Hiv on the needle. I even contacted the Apollo Hospital regarding this issue.. Is there any possibility that needle cap would have been removed due to Collision with the floor.? If yes chances of hiv and Hepatitis or other disease.. This was the first time I visited any doctor in past 10 years.. And such kind of experience... I have attached the image of syringe and needle that I saw there.
