Hearing and Speaking problem
Hi sir/Madam,
My nephew is not able to speak as he is not able to hear from his birth, I visited 4 to 5 time's to AIISH Mysore for the check up. Every time he is not responding to the tests. Now I/we need to send him for schooling. We are very much worried about the same. Is there any other test which may find loss of hearing Quantum. If yes please guide us to follow the same.

It's mandatory for hearing to be normal for development of speech.
For formal schooling,again hearing has to be normal.
BAER/BERA is the standard test of hearing at this age.
Make sure that hearing aids are used BEFORE schooling starts.
