Hello May I know the weight of your child? It’s good that you are avoiding sugar for your child Normally growing healthy child doesn’t need any health drink as such, it is not advised either as it contains preservatives and artificial flavours. You can instead provide the same supplement through home cooked foods, fruits and vegetables Boiled egg is the best source of nutrition 1 glass of milk per day is sufficient Avoid tea/coffee till at least 12years of age Milk products like curds, ghee, butter are good source of energy Avoid soft drinks and ready made fruit juices

At 7.3 years, your child can get all the essential nutrients from a well-balanced home diet. There’s honestly no need for fancy health drink powders, especially if he’s not taking sugar — which is actually a good habit!
Next Steps
If you’re still worried about weight gain or nutrition, consult your pediatrician once for a growth assessment. No harm in checking!
Health Tips
Avoid processed, sugary powders marketed as “health drinks.” Most don’t add real value and can become unnecessary habits.

Commercial health drinks are all adapted forms of traditional drinks we make at home ( if you read the label of Bournvita and similar drinks they all have the ingredients I am listing below but many other processed items too). . A common ingredient for all of them is sugar - it’s a good trait that your child doesn’t like sugar. You can prepare and keep home made powders to add on to the milk as per the liking of the child: - ragi malt/ ragi powder is really a good idea -Roasted and powdered almonds have a great flavour ( pistachio, cashews and walnuts go as well), you can mix with roasted flax seeds and chia seeds too - sattu is a great North Indian variant and made mostly with roasted chana but also with jowar - to give a flavour you can try dark chocolate/ put cacao powder, vanilla, rose or soaked saffron - a very simple idea is making a shake - try avacado with vanilla, banana with vanilla, melon or mango shake! These shakes are healthier with curd or yoghurt
Next Steps
It’s recommended to give low fat dairy above 2 years of age - so all these ideas come in handy if you wish to follow a healthy but nutritious diet for a growing child
Health Tips
Encourage sports activities and a daily routine of fruits, it will increase the appetite too
