The CT report mentions enlarged ventricles suggestive of communicating (non-obstructive) hydrocephalus, but the most important thing is the child’s clinical condition and development. It is reassuring that your baby is active, playful, and otherwise developing normally. Some children with larger head size can also have benign familial macrocephaly (runs in families) or benign external hydrocephalus. However, this report should not be ignored. The next best step is consultation with a pediatric neurologist/neurosurgeon and MRI brain as advised in the report, because MRI gives much better detail and helps decide whether this is a benign variant or needs monitoring/treatment.
Health Tips
Please monitor for warning signs such as: • vomiting • excessive sleepiness • irritability • developmental delay/regression • abnormal eye movements/sunsetting eyes • seizures • imbalance while walking • rapidly increasing head size

Greetings report shows  findings of non-communicating hydrocephalus, which is a condition where cerebrospinal fluid is blocked within the brain's ventricles, potentially leading to a large head circumference. Since your doctor has recommended an NCCT head scan, it is essential to follow through with this imaging to confirm the diagnosis and determine the cause of the blockage. General treatment options for this condition often include the surgical placement of a shunt, an endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV), or potentially treating an underlying lesion if one is present. Because head circumference and imaging results require expert interpretation, you should discuss these specific findings with a pediatric neurosurgeon to understand the immediate steps for your son's care
