Head injury
Hi Dr Sir/ Ma'am I have accidentally hit my forehead hard  walking into a glass door. I was shaken at that time. Now 80 hours have passed and I don't have any red flag symptoms like vomiting, fluid drainage, loss of consciousness etc. But having on and off moderate headache. Now since 80 hours has passed can I be sure that nothing serious is there or I need to attend doctors ? Why this moderate headache. Also after 80 hours ct  scan or MRI which is better. Kindly help. Thanks

After 80 hrs,if you feel not headache like symptoms then no need CT or MRI.

Dear Patient, Since 80 hours have passed and you have no red flag symptoms (vomiting, loss of consciousness, confusion, fluid leakage), serious brain injury is very unlikely. Moderate headache can occur due to mild concussion or soft tissue injury and may last a few days. No scan is needed at present if symptoms are stable. If required, CT scan is preferred over MRI in head injury. Seek urgent care if headache worsens, vomiting starts, drowsiness, weakness, or vision changes occur.
