Hair fall at this age is common and usually manageable with proper evaluation and treatment. Common Causes Iron deficiency (most common) Poor nutrition or low protein intake Stress and lack of sleep Dandruff or scalp infection Hormonal imbalance (PCOS in some cases) Treatment Plan 1. Oral Supplements (for 3–4 months) Biotin + Zinc + Multivitamin Once daily after food Iron supplement (only if iron level is low) 2. Topical Treatment Minoxidil 2% solution or foam Apply 1 ml once daily at night Apply only on the scalp Continue for at least 6 months Initial shedding during the first 3–4 weeks is normal. 3. Shampoo If dandruff is present: Ketoconazole 2% shampoo Use twice weekly for 4–6 weeks If no dandruff: Use a mild shampoo 2–3 times per week 4. Diet Eggs (1–2 per day) Milk or curd Green leafy vegetables Fruits Nuts (almonds, walnuts) Adequate protein intake Light oil massage once or twice weekly Manage stress Expected Results 1 month: reduction in hair fall 3 months: appearance of new baby hair 6 months: visible hair regrowth

Protein rich diet and multivitamin Also go for thyroid profile as in hypothyroidism hair fall may occur. Avoid Stressors,tight hair styles as they can lead hair fall.

As a pediatrician i would suggest, get your ferritin levels done. Most common cause is low iron with low stores. As per report we can proceed forward.
