Haemorrhage followed by Paralysis
My 85 Yr old Grandma had Haemorrhage due to high BP. CT scans show damage in/around thalamus due to blood seepage. She has paralysis in right side of the body, has been unconscious since 4 days. Doesn't open eyes or react to sound. BP & Pulse are way above normal. Is there any recovery possible? How long before the body gives away?

Normal course of bleed due to hypertension  is it will dance brain cells supplying opposite  side of body. If bp is controlled and bleed stops immediately there starts recovery phase. Bleed regress in a 4 to 7 days. Brain cells improve  over 7 to 15 days.. factors which hinders is age. If bp is well controlled due to age recovery  will be problematic. U can't predict approximate date and time.
