Hi
Seeing the picture you have shared
I would advise you to go for complete sub gingival oral prophylaxis. And then plan for gingevectomy if required.
It would be ideal if you mention any present medication or any history of past medication to your dentist
Next Steps
please take an appointment for complete oral prophylaxis
Go for an oral prophylaxis which is mainly a dental cleaning procedure first.
Gingivectomy procedure by itself is not painful as the gums would be numbed. However as the tissue heals, you my feel some pain which can usually be managed with painkillers and maintaining good oral hygiene.
Also, do you have a history of taking any medicines?
