Apart from several reasons mentioned, one of the reasons for gum recession could be malpositioning of your tooth. If the tooth is oddly placed outside the alignment compared to your other front teeth (you didn't specify whether it is upper or lower front region), automatically due to daily forces like brushing, chewing, or even due friction from your lips, the gum may recede (pull down). Other possible explanations are HIGH FRENAL ATTACHMENT & DEEP BITE.
Next Steps
Consult a periodontist regarding more information about this condition.
Health Tips
Avoid vigorous tooth brushing (especially side-to-side movement of the brush). Just brush upwards from the base of the gums on to the teeth.

If you are feeling recession in teeth then visit a dentist , it can be because of hard deposits on teeth which can be cleaned by scaling and polishing, if you maintain your proper oral hygiene then it can be controlled at this stage only, otherwise slowly and slowly it can lead to teeth loosening .
Ideally a clinical checkup by a dentist would be required to know for sure what is the cause of the sensation.
It could be caused by the receding gums on your front teeth. If I understand correctly you must be experiencing sensation on consumption of cold liquids. The recession of gums may be caused by hard deposits on your teeth which need to be cleaned professionally by a dentist.
The condition is treatable and you would need to consult a periodontist for the same.
