I have a gum flap behind my 2 molar ,it doesn't cause me any pain till ,and my wisdom teeth are impacted,my dentist say not to remove wisdom teeth until it show symptoms ,so what is that gun flap

That gum flap is nothing but swollen gums that partially surround your third molar teeth that we called as operculum....That swollen gums may accumalate food debris and cause swollen and tender gums,bad breathe,Throbbing and aching pain at back of your mouth, difficulty in open your mouth,pain around the jaw, pus collection around your impacted teeth......That partially erupted third molar may also cause decaying of neighboring teeth.....First and foremost is to take OPG (x_ray) of that impacted tooth and get the tooth removed whenever you are convinient...
