Growth issues
Hello Doctor, My wife is pregnant with twins (26weeks 5days) We have taken fetal echo scan in the report it was mentioned the growth of one twin is less twin B (831grams) and twin A (1030 grams) we can find the difference in HC, FC,AL between the both fetus. Rest all the parameters are good. Attached report Kindly reply does it leads to abnormality or twin B is facing growth issues. Thanks for the response. Thanks

Hi Small percentage of discrepancy of weights among twin babies is common. I would suggest growth interval monitoring. That is if the twins are gaining weight adequately from previous scan and assessing and comparing this scan with the next scan.. we can predict if there is growth discrepancy or not.. secondly if doppler studies are normal.that is definitely a positive outcome.. the parameters (BPD,FL,AC,HC) are often radiologist/ gynaecologist dependent and minor fluctuations are always there while calculating there fetal parameters. Plz do consult and OBGYN for better analysis and growth monitoring of the two babies. All the best
