Gripe water for gases
My baby is 1 month 15 days old. She is having gases all days which makes her uncomfortable and cry always. I am using Gastica Drops 3 times a day. Should I prefer Gripe Water for my newborn? Is it good to give as it contains many preservatives?

Babys swallow lot of air during feeding and crying.Hence burping is very important step after every feed.Even if baby doesnt burp hold the baby upright atleast for 15-20mins which will help air to come out.Excessive crying,passing lot of gases,tummy distension,vommiting,hiccups are very common due to improper burping.
I would suggest continue with gastica drops and proper burping for now.See if symptoms are relieved.If no then better to get baby to the doctor and let him asses the baby physically and decide about further treatment

Gripe water is not recommended mam as it contains alcohol.You can continue with Gastica for now.If problem persists do let me know
