I have never given OPV's in government camps to my son, who is now 3.5. I thought following the schedule was sufficient. But, wanted to give him this time, though I again missed the 10th of March. So, took him to a private hospital, but the pediatrician refused to give him the vaccine saying that, OPV offered by private hospitals/ clinics has different molecules than OPV's offered under the government camps. Is this true?
Since, I have never given OPV's in government camps , is my child protected against the polio virus?
