Gestational diabetes mellitus
Hai I'm 24 wks 5 days pregnant done by ogtt with 75 GM's glucose, fasting is 96mg/fl, 1 hr pp is 198gm/fl and 2 hrs is 142gm/dl, with fasting insulin 6.80. I was on metformin before pregnancy, should I start on any medication right now please suggest.

Monitor sugar,Metformin can control then no need to add any thing. Diet control  will improve alot.start green vegetables, calcium preparation and one fruit per day including meditation. It will  help in your pregnancy as well.

Hi... yes... your sugar reports suggestive of gestational diabetes ... Monitor FBS, and 1 hour after each major meals Goals : fbs 70 - 93, 1 hour after each meal should be less than 140... Start Diabetc diet Daily walking for 10 to 15 min after each meal Restart metformin 500 mg 1----0----1 after food And consult diabetologist with your glucometer record
