Gestational Diabetes at 8th month
Am on 3rd trimester. Undergone Oral GTT Recently where results shows after one hour sugar level 208mg/dL and after 2 hours 185. Before fastening it was around 103mg/dL. Doctor repeated the test after one week. Same thing featured. So my physician suggested Metformin Twice every day. Am worried about my Sugar level as well as intake of Metformin. I fear both will affect my baby. Can some clarify my doubt on this. I follow strict diet also.

Metformin is safe for both you and baby. Don’t worry. If sugars are high baby can have lots of issues post delivery. Metformin requirement usually stops at birth.
