Genital herpes and hiv ??
I have genital herpes .. my lesions have healed up after treatment.. if I have sex with condoms in the future with someone whose HIV status I don't know could I get hiv even if I don't have active herpes sores? should avoid sex when I have herpes outbreaks and should I always wear protection ? I've read that herpes sores makes it easier for.the virus to.enter your body??

Herpes and HIV are two different viruses with different modes of spread though both are STDs. Yes it is easier for HIV virus to enter the body if you are suffering from herpes. However the risk is less if you use a condom and have sex with a partner whose HIV status is known.
