Hello dr,my kid is of 8 year old boy he had gastroenteritis since 6-7 days
We hv given him enterogermina and sporolac- sp tablet but he is having loose motions 1-2 ina day and sometimes looking fine sometimes looking drowsy and
having only fruit,juice but refusing to eat the meal and sometimes complaining abdominal pain also
Kindly help ...

Dont worry! He's improving. Post viral will be der for few days.Any warning signs such as decrease in urine output, dullness, decrease in oral intake, dry eyes needs attention. Continue probiotics for few more days.

Drowsiness and tiredness is because of loose stools where all the body fluids including Electrolytes are gone.
So to make him active just give More liquids like ORS, Coconut water, Butter milk, Curd
Diarrhoea is most commonly due to virus and treatment is plenty of fluids and can last upto a week. And Loose stools seems to be reducing, but your child seems to be drowsy and complaints of abdominal pain, this might need consultation and need for ultrasound abdomen.
