Gastritis and low iron
Already diagnosed with mild antral gastritis post endoscopy and doctor has prescribed esomaprazole, ibset and Mebeverine hydrochloride tablets for one month. Since iron is low doctor has prescribed orofer xt but I heard it worsens gastritis. Already having stomach issues. Please suggest gentle iron supplement which can be well tolerated

Your reports show iron deficiency (low serum iron and low transferrin saturation), so iron treatment is definitely required. However, since you already have antral gastritis, some oral iron tablets like Orofer-XT may worsen acidity, pain, or nausea. Better-tolerated options include: Iron polymaltose complex / ferric polymaltose syrup or tablets Carbonyl iron Liposomal iron These forms are gentler on the stomach and usually better tolerated in gastritis.
Next Steps
Take iron after food, not on an empty stomach Continue esomeprazole as prescribed Avoid tea/coffee 1–2 hours around iron intake If despite this you still develop gastric discomfort, then IV iron therapy can be considered under medical supervision.
Health Tips
Please consult with your doctor before changing the medicine. For personalized treatment planning and dose adjustment.

I think you should take treatment for iron deficiency. Once the deficiency has been made up you can start the treatment for gastritis. If the gastritis is so bad you can take Intravenous Iron.

Your reports clearly show iron deficiency, and yes—regular iron like Orofer can irritate the stomach, especially when you already have gastritis. Your concern is valid. The iron needs to be corrected, but in a gentler way.
Next Steps
You can switch to better-tolerated iron options like iron bisglycinate / iron polymaltose / liposomal iron, which are much easier on the stomach. Take it after food, not on an empty stomach. If oral iron still doesn’t suit you, iron infusion is a safe option.
Health Tips
Don’t stop iron completely—low iron will worsen fatigue and hair fall. Avoid tea/coffee around iron doses.

Good timing will reduce chance of gastritis. Take the tablet after food and not on empty stomach. And take it at the same time every day to ensure timing and compliance

You need to gap between these drugs to better absorption. Take iron supplements after food for better absorption.
