Gastritis and gerd

Asked for Female, 27 Years

I am having mild chest pain and throat discomfort, I was diagonized with h pylori infection which was eradicated and I took PPI tables for 8 months. Later I stopped medicine I feel stabbing pain in left stomach often if I am fine for 2 days 3rd day I feel the pain and discomfort in throat. Do I have to take tablets life long is there any permanent cure.
