As you mentioned, there is sudden development of gap between your teeth and gums. There are two issues that are to be cleared.
If the gap has developed between two teeth or between your tooth and and your gum which means your tooth structure seems to be longer than your adjacent tooth (Recession).
In either of the above cases, you would require gum treatment as soon as possible .
