My mother was having severe pain in the upper abdomen area and then she went to the hospital where doctor advised for ultrasound. It was found that she had gallstones including inflammation in gall bladder and pancreas. Her salivary amylase test showed 191. She is nearly 55years. Doctor suggested removal of gallbladder. What is pancreatitis due to.

Pancreatitis is caused due to various factors.as USG is showing gall stones it is necessary to go for stone removal or gall bladder removal by routine method or by laparoscopy. But once do ct scan of abdomen as there is also Pancreatitis along with gall stones and its inflammation.
