Gallstone and Uterine fibroid
Hello doctor, My mother is of 46 years old and had undergone ultrasound and found out the presence of gallstone as well as uterus fibroid. Currently, she is taking Norlut-N twice a day as per prescription, "Dexorange" vitamin capsule, Eltroxin 25(since long time). There is no pain or symptom near the gallbladder area and only thing is that, Sometimes, she feels fullness in stomach after eating. Could you please advise what should be the further treatment ? I have attached the ultrasound report. Please go through it. Is it required to undergo surgery for gallstone ?

The size of fibroid is not very big. If your mother does not have any symptoms viz excess bleeding during menses or unbearable pain then there is no need to remove fibroids. A repeat sonography can be done after 4-6 months to see the fibroid size. If your mother achieves menopause (permanent stoppage of menses) then in majority of cases the fibroids will shrink.

As per both the reports your mother needs Surgery. These problems will not go away spontaneously. You can plan surgery as per your convenience. There is no hurry. But it is required because as age advances you may develop some medical problems.
