Hi, I am Dr. Charles Mano Sylus, consultant General &  Laparoscopic Surgeon in Chennai. There is no point of taking any meds as the stone size is already 1.5cm. And secondly, the medicine works only if we have cholestrol stones.. but in our country 98% have oxalate or mixed stones which wont dilute or disperse. So 1) uncontrolled diabetic 2) stone 1.5cm and multiple stones, I would suggest you to go ahead with an elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy Surgery. You have mentioned a cyst, where is the cyst. For further discussion, you can contact me at nine eight nine four one eight seven eight two nine.

If she has no symptoms, no need of urgent surgery. Size of stone has no meaning in case of GB stones unless there are symptoms.
