Future problems due to HIE
My baby boy was born at 36weeks 3days by C-section.
One day after birth he had a single episode of tonic-clonic seizure after which seizure never recurred.
USG shows areas of periventricular white matter echogenecity suggestive of HIE changes.
Today my baby is 14 days old and is looking overall healthy with normal muscle tone.
Are there chances that he will have any problems in future because of this?

For proper assessment we need to do neurological examination as in case of neonates.And repeat imaging may be required if not gaining milestones, it is too early to comment now.
