Hello doctor, my 7.5 months old baby doesn't want to eat any homemade food but she likes only ready-made Cerelac. I breastfeed her on demand. How can I grow her interest in food. I tried different fruits, veggies, rice, dal, khichdi. I made those sweet using jaggary. Nothing worked. I am thinking can I use formula milk to make kheer and other desserts? I heard formula milk is tasty. Will it be a good idea?

It's very common problems.. Once cerelac is given to baby they don't like home made food.....Express your Breast milk in clean bowel and add it to home made food ... Try giving food like this as it will make food familiar to baby...Don't give cerelac so that once the baby is hungry he/she will have your home made food..

You can use formula milk to make weaning foods for your baby .give homemade fruit juices, vegetable purees.but please do not rush.give not more than 1new item in a week.do continue with breastfeeding.
Health Tips
At the initial stage of weaning, cerelac(rice) is a good option.
