Went to ER last night with extreme muscle aches and sore throat and temp of 103°. Negative for flu and strep. Elevated WBC of 14,000 and C-reactive protein of 24.81 mg/L. Sed rate was 32 mm/hr. Diagnosed with myositis. Vomited profusely hours later. Developed extreme blisters on tonsils today and sharp pain in center of chest when I breathe. Severe neck stiffness and swollen glands. Lots of back pain. Cannot drink fluids needed for myositis and pain is becoming unbearable on tonsils. Already tried every traditional method-ice, hot fluids, lozenges, acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Vicodin given for muscle aches is too difficult to swallow now. What do I do?
