Frequent Outbreak of Oral Herpes
Last year in September I went to Manali from Kolkata for a vacation with my husband and son. There I had a first time outbreak of oral herpes. I took zovirax 400 and appliedherpes cream on my lips and after about 15 days it was cured. Unfortunately after that I am having oral blisters on my lips, upper and lower mouth pallet , swelling of gums after every 4- 5 days. The disease is occuring very frequently and I am in great pain and discomfort. I am worried if it will spread to other bodyparts.

The treatment dose of Acyclovir in herpes zoster is 800 mg 5 times daily for 7 - 10 days. Corticosteroids may also be required. Please take these medicines in consultation with your doctor. Do not self medicate under any circumstances. It seems the virus is getting suppressed and then reactivating again.
One more thing to be investigated is if the lesions are truly herpes or Erythema Multiforme or other such lesions.
