I have a 4months daughter, this time her weight is not increasing. Her current weight is. 6.03kg and last months was 5.67kg. Her birth weight is. 2.89kg. Is it fine or not. She is taking my breast milk every hr and after 5 to 10min she is start crying some time. May be my breast milk is not sufficient for her and she is still hungry. Can i start formula milk with breast milk. My doctor advised me to start vegetable water with salt and rest spices except red chilli but am confused bcoz as per my knowledge water should be start after 6 months. Does it impact my baby health. Kindly suggest should i start formula milk or vegetable water with salt and all spices (except red chilli) at the age of 4months child.

I understand your concerns. Baby’s weight seems to be adequate for age. There should be proper breast feeding technique. If the baby drinks only the foremilk and not the hind milk(contains more of fat ,which is present at the last stages of each breastfeeding, infants satiety wouldn’t be attained. In western countries, people start weaning after 4 months of age. According to Indian standards breast feeding for 6 months is adviced. Look for any other reasons for crying like wet diapers, rashes , and many others.

Hi!
Your baby's weight is absolutely fine, no need to worry
Continue breast feeding only and no water till 6 months.....as yr baby is gaining weight
Sometimes cry is also normal but still if u feel that she is hungry...u can start stage 1 formula milk ( give 2-3 times / day over and above breast feeding)
