Folic acid tablets
Hello doctor, I have taken folic acid tablets 3 months before pregnancy and now I am 5 months pregnant. Now I am taking fermet XT tablet which contain iron and folic acid. Is it safe to take this tablet? Or else should I take only iron content supplement?

Hi , The need for folic acid supplementation 2nd trimester depends on nutritional deficiencies also.
Next Steps
You may continue taking it and talk to your doctor about the need for additional folic acid henceforth.
