  4. Fluroide varnish. To get varnish?

My child is 7 years old I took him to dentist. Since he is 2 and doctor filled his molars and this time she saw a tartar on his new permanent lower teeth she suggested to get fluroide varnish on his permanent teeth which are still erupting .is it necessary to get varnish ?
