Hi,
A pulse of 65-70 on the reduced dose sounds stable and reasonable for your dad, with his heart history.
The full 3 times a day may be too strong if it's causing vomiting and breathing issues.
Don't adjust on your own follow up with his cardiologist soon to confirm the right dose.
Feel free to consult for further guidance.

Vomiting can occur due to medicines or acidity. Pulse rate of 65 to 70 is good for him, but before reducing dose of deriphylline, consult his cardiologist.
A resting pulse of 65-70 beats per minute is actually a good and acceptable range for your father given his heart condition with stents. The vomiting and breathing discomfort he experienced when taking the medicine 3 times a day is likely a side effect of the prescribed bronchodilator at that dose â these are well-known side effects at higher frequencies. Please do not change the prescribed dose on your own without speaking to the doctor first.
Next Steps
Report the side effects (vomiting and breathlessness at 3 times/day) to his cardiologist before making any changes. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
