Hi
My daughter is 6 years 9 months old
We gave her flu shot on 5th June 2025.
As her schools are re opening on 3rd June 26 we plan to give her flu shot for this year around 10 days in advance? Is that ok?
As we have mostly given her Fluquadri in the past but this time hospital told they have Influvac in stock.Which vaccine is better?Should we wait for Fluquadri to maintain continuity?
Thanks

Yes, giving the flu vaccine around 10–14 days before school reopening is perfectly fine and actually preferable as it gives time for immunity to develop.
Regarding vaccine brand, both Fluquadri and Influvac are good influenza vaccines if they are the updated seasonal strains. There is no need to maintain the same brand every year. You can go ahead with Influvac if available.
Both Fluquadri and Influvac are quadrivalent flu vaccines — equally effective. No need to maintain brand continuity, as the strains are updated annually regardless of brand. Go ahead with Influvac.
10 days before school is acceptable, though 2 weeks is ideal for full protection. Don't delay waiting for Fluquadri.
Next Steps
Schedule Influvac at the earliest convenient date.
Greetings
Yes, vaccinating around May 24th, 2026, is an appropriate timeline as it allows the necessary two weeks to develop full immunity before school starts. Both Fluquadri and Influvac Tetra are high-quality quadrivalent vaccines that offer identical coverage against the four major circulating influenza strains. There is no medical requirement to maintain continuity with the same brand since their active strain compositions are updated to match the exact same seasonal guidelines. You do not need to wait for Fluquadri, and your daughter can safely receive the available Influvac vaccine.
