Fever with running nose and cough

Asked for Male, 36 Years

My child 5 yr old is having fever upto 100 and running nose and cough. Last week I had given him below medicines: ibugesic syrup, ambrodil s, augmentin ds, azee syrup. Fever went down but the cold didn't. Again from yesterday night fever has started. I have given him Calpol 250mg, levocet M and opox 100. Please advise.

Your child already received 2antibiotics earlier and again he is on antibiotics. This should not happen. Cold is either viral infection or allergic in origin which needs to investigated. In your earlier prescription there's was no Medicine for cold. Now levocet m contain cold and allergy medicine so wait. Viral infection can happen again and again. You can start Septillin syrup 5ml twice a day for 1 to 3months for immunity
