A viral fever usually lasts for 3-4 days at a time. This is the case in both adults and children. Antibiotics will not help as it's a viral infection. If your child is having any other symptoms, then further evaluation is necessary. Make sure to give Paracetamol every 6-8 hours along with tepid sponging with a wet washcloth. It will pass soon. To discuss further, kindly book an online consultation with me. You can check out my Instagram page @pediatrician_india for more helpful tips ! Take care!
