Fever, high pulse rate
Hi, My niece developed fever and vomiting signs on day one, the doctor gave antibiotoc and pcm and vomiting medicines (fi e days dose) Vomiting and fever disaapeared till the fifth day,i.e. till the day she took complete dose of five days. On sixth day, her temperature is 99-101. Oxygen level (as measured on oximeter) is 93 percent and pulse rate (sitting) is 125. Is this normal after fever? Please suggest. Thanks

Hello, Pulse rate can go up during fever and patient gets dehydrated during fever which can cause high pulse rate specially during summer days. Hydrate her well and consult a physician. Take care. Stay safe.
