Fever, cold and cough
Baby age 2yrs 1mnth and weight 11kg. From 4 days my baby suffering from cold fever and cough. Week back neblization made. But cough still there. Fever not reducing. Kindly suggest me the best cough and fever medicine. For cough our family doctor suggested advent 457mg. I am giving same medicine. If cough reduces then only fever will reduce?? Kindly help me.

Advent is for infection and not for cough. Yes if cough is due to infection it will improve within 3 to 4 days. Fever will also dec by 3 to 4 dayz.
Fever meds will only dec fever for 4 to 6hrs. As infection gets cleared from the body fever and cough both will go away.
Kindly have regular follow up with your pediatrician as there might be need for blood investigation / chest xray / change in medication after re evaluation after 3 days of meds
