Fever and Cough (14 days)
My 3 years daughter has fever and coughing and light cold from 14 days (18-Feb). At that time ESR=36 and CRP=1.2 mg/dl. and we are giving Anti-botics syrup which is prescribed by my pediatric. But Still it is continuing with low grade fever between 99 to 100.5. and with light coughing. Here I'm attaching CBP and CRP tests result done again recently on yesterday(2-Mar). We noticed that only CRP =16 mg/dl. It was increased even we are giving Anti-botics from that day. I don't understand, why this CRP was increased and May i know the reason and when my baby will come to normal and one more thing my doctor done Cest x-Ray and in that rediaology specifies "FEW BRONCHITIS CHANGES HAS SEEN IN RIGHT LOWER". Still we are giving Anti-botics medicine. Today also after 6 pm my child has tempre has near 100f. but he fever medicine last given was on yesterday night. Could you please answer my questions.? Please see attached reports and give me proper reasons also.

Fever going for so long needs to be investigated further. Usually viral infection don't last so long. We need further investigation like ESR, Blood culture, Liver function test.Mantoux test for Tuberculosis. Widal test for typhoid. May be repeat x Ray. Needs good antibiotics broad spectrum to cover common germs in good dose and duration. Syrup chrricof KS for cough and some old medicine to start. Meantime all reports available can decide further course. To hospitalised or OPD management.
