Next Steps
The patient books a consultation takes all the advice, clears all his doubt, and then just cancels the consultation by selecting an inappropriate reason, just so he doesn't have to pay the consultation fees! Has personally happened with me so sharing
This fever and body pain after working in 44 degree Delhi heat is most likely heat exhaustion or a common viral fever â not an HIV symptom. Acute HIV illness typically appears 2-6 weeks after exposure, not 5 months later. The fact that your fever responded to medicine and has been normal for 15 hours is very reassuring.
Next Steps
Avoid working in peak heat hours (12pm-4pm), drink plenty of water and ORS, and complete the medicine course your doctor prescribed. If you are still concerned about the old exposure, get an HIV 4th generation (Ag/Ab combo) test done to confirm. Feel free to consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
