Respected sir/ madam Yesterday i wife had completed reduction process from triplets to twins. Today my doctor suggested for cervical stiches within two days my question is Is it safe to do cervical stiches after 3 days of reduction process.

If cervical length is less than 3.5cm, then yes can be done but not too early I.e after 2 days of reduction Otherwise it shouldn’t be done or I will say not to be done in case cervical length is more than 3.5 cm

Stitches are essentially taken on the cervix , outside of the uterus . And this practice is usually to protect from preterm labour in future. Sure it comes with its own pros and cons but if it is indicated since you have twins , weighing risk benefit ratio you can take the decision.
