Its normal during pregnancy to feel sleepy and lethargic .. High levels of Progesterone has natural sedative effect and calming effect .. As most of your consumed calories and oxygen is delivered to ur baby u often feel low energy and fatigue.. It can also be because of low levels of Hb in some conditions ..so kindly check ur Hb levels
Next Steps
CBC  ..if normal , Take  frequent meals ,eat good fruits veggies maintain adequate hydration take small walks now and then . you are okay otherwise
Health Tips
if Hb is low, u need to start on medicines. Kindly consult me on Practo for further

Hi! Feeling sleepy and needing more rest at 21 weeks is completely normal. 😊 It’s due to hormonal changes. Feel free to consult if it’s excessive or accompanied by other symptoms. 👍

Feeling sleepy and needing more rest at 21 weeks of pregnancy is completely normal — elevated progesterone levels during pregnancy have a natural sedating effect, and your body is working significantly harder to support your growing baby. As long as you're not experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain, severe swelling, or sudden dizziness along with the fatigue, there is nothing to worry about.
Next Steps
Get a CBC done if not done recently to rule out anaemia (a very common cause of excessive fatigue in pregnancy), maintain a balanced diet with iron and protein, and ensure proper hydration. Feel free to consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

It’s ok to feel sleepy and taking extra rest once a while but if you have any other issues or symptoms along with these, it may need some investigations. Generally summers makes all feel so due to short nights. Relax.
Next Steps
Mention of some other symptoms present.

Things that suggest you should get checked sooner: • Excessive daytime sleepiness despite adequate sleep • Snoring or pauses in breathing during sleep • Weight gain, constipation, hair fall, cold intolerance • Fever, weight loss, swollen glands • Depression/low mood • Dizziness, palpitations, or breathlessness • Sudden onset severe fatigue If this sleepiness has been present for more than 2–3 weeks or is worsening, consult a MD Medicine or Obstetrician doctor for evaluation.
