Yes, this is completely normal behavior for a 5-month-old baby At this age, babies become more efficient at breastfeeding, so they can take the same or even more milk in a shorter duration (10–15 minutes) compared to earlier 20–30 minutes. Also, babies get easily distracted and may stop feeding once satisfied. Feeding every 2–3 hours with good activity is reassuring. What is important is not the duration of feed, but: Adequate weight gain Passing 5–6 times urine/day Baby is active, playful, and meeting milestones If these are normal, then there is no concern and no need to force feeding. No medication is required. However, if baby shows poor weight gain, decreased urine output, lethargy, or persistent refusal to feed, then consult a pediatrician for evaluation.

Baby can complete feeding in 10-30 minutes. So it's ok if baby passing urine adequately, active and playful and gaining weight and milestone as per age
