Mam u r having breast infection..use antibiotic course for 1week.also apply hot fomentation to reduce the knots.express the milk and discard.once ur breast fill again feed ur baby frequently ensure proper latching.antibiotics do not have any effect on baby.if pus develops then v have to drain the breast.so consult a doctor.

You obviously had a breastmilk abscess, caused by insufficient drainage of milk, and you MUST complete full treatment. The medicines have NO relation to decreased lactation. The three most important factors for good lactation are a good healthy balanced diet by you,a relaxed mind, and regular suckling by the baby. Take care of all 3 factors, and lactation will increase again, don't worry!
