My wife is 25 years old and sometimes her eyes turn outward when looking at far objects and in normal conditions. But when she is talking to a person or looking at nearer objects, her eyes look absolutely normal but she can't look at nearby objects with straight eyes for more than 10-15 seconds continuously and then her right eye kind of turns outside for a second and readjusts to look straight. She has difficulty in riding vehicles and gets headache sometimes. What is her medical condition called? And what are treatments available?

This is known as intermittent divergent squint.
It is fairly common condition. Sometimes due to refractive error eyes gets tendency to move out when fatigued or person not alert.
It is best treated by getting power of glass changed and convergence exercises.
Convergence exercises are simple pen exercises in which person gazes a tip of pen at arms length and bring it closes , till its tips get doubled and then moving it far till it becomes single.

Hi,
Your wife needs a complete eye examination with local ophthalmologist at the earliest. She will most probably require glasses to correct her squint.
