Eye vision
My daughter is 5.3 years old and she has been going through eyes screening test and she had vision 6/9 and spherical and cylindrical number is -2.25 for both eyes. I have questions that firstly, is she required glasses or not. Second question is shall glasses will be removed in future and vision reached 6/6. Third question is if she will wear glasses then it's mandatory to wear glasses all the time or she need to wear glasses only while see Tv,reading and all. Thanks of you make answer of all of my questions

Firstly ..She requires glasses second..just wearing will not remove glasses, mostly minus number has a tendency to increase with age, but nothing can be said .. Vision may improve with wearing glasses ..not totally sure thing. thirdly ..yes, , to wear for most visually demanding work, may remove sometime..while playing etc.

Please get a atropine refraction done for her to get the correct power and then as per her refraction she may need glasses. If glasses are prescribed it is best to use them and have a periodic eye checkup to see whether there is any change in the glass power For the future it is difficult to predict if her power will increase or decrease with age, all of which are possible. So do not stress it out on that at the moment because that can't be changed. It's always wise to "cross the bridge, when it comes".
