Eye pain and burning sensation
Respected sir/madam, I was on steroid medication for covid induced pneumonia for 15 days(dexamethasone injection for first 5 days and then dexa tab BID for next 5 days and OID for last 5 days..and finished the course and its been 2 weeks now Since steroids are immunosuppressants I got by blood test done to check my WBC levels... Total WBC count is 7100 which is good but Lymphocytes is 42% which is slightly elevated and monocytes is 0% As we have started hearing about black fungus i wanna ask u something .. 1) Is my immunity back to normal and need not worry about mucormycosis? 2) I have allergic rhinitis because of elevated IgE level So cant rely on sinusitis as a symptom of mucormycosis And I have burning sensation on my right eye since 2 days and today its severe but not reddened or headache or nose block...just burning sensation and cant tolerate looking in the phone.. ( i was excessively using phone since few days but yesterday i took rest but still its there)

Hello.. Nobody can assess your immune status based on these reports.. Black fungus is a sad reality. Burning sensation is suggestive of dryness. You can use lubricating eyedrop for that . Having said that in my opinion, you need to consult local ENT specialist and ophthalmologist.
