Eye Injury
Hi, In my mother's eye small leaf entered and my mom rubbed it very hard. After that it is very red and some injury is showing. Black round spot is ok only white area in corner is affected. There is small pain too. Attached is photo of affected eye. Due to covid 19 eye specialist was not available and one BHMS doctor in hospital has give gentacol eye drop three times 7 days. Please suggest.

Hi this is a sub conjunctival haemorrhage. It shall take time to settle.. May be a week or so. Please use mezol eye drops 3 times a day and osmodrops 3 times a day. Do some ice pack on the eyes and have loads of vitamin C. Please show an Ophthalmologist if possible to check the vision and retina evaluation.

It's large subconjunctival heamorrahge. It need slit lamp examination for cornea and fundus examination.

Gentacol drops should be stopped. Is there a problem with the vision? If no then this will resolve on its own. It will take minimum 2 weeks for the blood to get absorbed. However it will be advisory to show to a local ophthalmologist to check for the extent of the haemorrhage/bleeding.
