Excruciating pain during intercourse

Asked for Female, 23 Years

I've tried to have penetrative intercourse a couple of times but have been unable to do so since as soon as the penetration begins, I feel excruciating pain. The pain is unbearable. I feel I have a very shallow vaginal opening which doesn't expand during intercourse. Or it is my hymen that doesn't break. Either way it pains too much and I haven't been able to have penetrative vaginal intercourse. Is there a problem with my hymen?
