ESR is increasing
Hi I am 36 year old house.last year I ad my blood test my ESR was 23 and now this year it is 47.my father had rhematoid arithiritis.please advise.last year my ra factor was 4.3. however this year I didn't get it done.please advise about why ESR is increasing and getting double

It could be due to any other illness in the body as it is a non specific test.

Hi., I can understand your concern.
Esr can be increased due to any infection remain elevated for some time after infection.
If you're having leg pain, bone pain, you can plan for ra factor test, otherwise not needed.
