My baby girl one year 9 months old. Doctor told us to take genetic test for baby due to seizures pblm. The result was epileptic encephalopathy. Likely pathogenic. What does it mean. Our doctor told, this is common nowadays In babies. Pls guide

Genetic tests for seizures are usually done if the treating doctor suspects some syndromic diagnosis on the basis of physical examination orif there is a family history of neurological disorder. Discuss with your doctor.
